silk wedding dresses

There are many options for brides who just can’t find what they want 'off the rack'. Bridal couturiers can design silk wedding dresses especially for you. You will have to search for the right gown designer and this may take some time. The designer may have to make a pattern from calico twaile before constructing your dress. Attend all your fittings to ensurr that your silk wedding dresses are completed on time.

All silk wedding dresses will fall into several main shapes. The ball gown is the most traditional of all categories, with full bodice and a waistline that leads to a very full skirt. Empire style gowns have a high waistline (right under the bust), which falls to a slimmer skirt. A-line or Princess shape dresses feature vertical seams flowing from the shoulders down to a flared skirt. Finally, sheath silhouette closely follows the line of the body.

If you are petite, full figured, broad shouldered, thin or large boned, long torsoed or short waisted, there are silk wedding dresses that will fit and accent your body type. Make sure when first fitting into a gown that you examine the way it feels, the way the material falls, the silkiness of the material, that all the seams are well sewn together and the beading and any accents of lace are well done. Also make sure to look at the gown in many mirrors from different angles.
