Wedding budget

Although most of us would love to buy a lottery ticket and come back with a winning number, the majority of us need to be frugal with our spending. Planning a wedding budget can be stressful if you realize that you are not rolling in the dough. When creating your wedding budget, there are several factors you will want to consider.

The first rule of laying out your wedding budget is make a list of all the expenses that you plan to incur for the wedding day and time leading up to it. Break the budget down into categories like attire, ceremony, rehearsal dinner, and reception. You will then want to make subcategories like flowers, decorations, dresses and accessories, and food.

Planning ahead will save you time and money, so it is important that you prepare a wedding budget long in advance before even inviting your guests. Locations, number of guests, and theme will all have an impact on your budget, and you and your fiancé should sit down to discuss how much you plan to spend as well as who is going to contribute to the wedding bank account.
