Wedding speech 

Whether you are the maid of honor, father of the bride, groom or the best man, you will probably be thinking about the wedding speech you are going to give. If you are the groom, your wedding speech should include a thanks to yours and your brides’ parents for their love and support, a thank you to the guests present for their generous gifts, and acknowledgement of any family or friends who could not be present due to illness.  

If you are the father of the bride, your wedding speech should include some words about your daughter, and also a welcome to the groom to your family. If you are the best man, your speech should be light hearted and fun, and directed at the bride and groom and the tradition of marriage.  

When preparing your wedding speech, you may want to use famous quotes about love, marriage, or commitment. You may also want to find old photos or mementos of the bride or groom, which can accompany a good story about the past. If you plan your speech ahead of time, you will be more relaxed when standing in front of a crowd and speaking.
