Winter weddings

Imagining the crisp white snowflakes falling on a cool December day, you can understand why winter weddings are favored among many brides. Winter weddings can be themed around Christmas or Hanukkah, or simply around the fresh and clean season of winter.

When planning winter weddings, you will want to consider weather elements when choosing your location. Do you live in an area where there will be lots of snow or rainfall? Choose a location that is easy for your guests to travel to. Your wedding attire should also correspond with the temperature outside for the set date. Your bridal gown and bridesmaids dresses may have longer sleeves or jackets, and you may prefer heavier fabrics like velvet.

If you want to tie in the seasonal theme to your winter weddings, think about using white as your main color, and then offset it with contrasting holiday colors such as red, green, silver or gold. If you live in a city that is normally very cold in the winter, consider having your wedding in the daytime when it will be a bit warmer. Check online weather sites for historical weather information for your city during your wedding month
