Informal bridal gowns 

If you are planning a more informal or smaller wedding, you may not want to spend a lot of money on expensive dresses, but instead look to informal bridal gowns. You may be able to get informal bridal gowns for about half the price of designer or couture gowns.  

Bridal gowns can range from a couple hundred up to a few thousand dollars, and with informal bridal gowns you may be saving money for other uses in your wedding, like veils or headpieces. You will also need to pay for stockings, shoes, jewelry, gloves, etc. You are not confined to choose a white gown either, but instead you may want a champagne, pick, gold, or yellow wedding dress.  

When trying on your dress, remember that informal bridal gowns sizes varie by designer. You may have to try a variety of sizes to find the best fit. It is better to buy a dress that is larger than you and can be altered than one that is too small in hopes that you will lose enough weight to fit into it.
